I am very excited to be invited as a panelist to this discussion about creativity. I'll be concentrating on two questions.
-
What role does creativity play in helping individuals and communities reimagine systems and structures that no longer serve us?
-
How can we use modern art to foster connection and empathy in an increasingly polarized and digitally mediated world?
Event description: In times of job market turbulence and career stagnation, creativity isn't just an asset - it's essential. This event will explore the role of creativity in an age of political turmoil, technological domination and global uncertainty.
Our panel features artists and artist-academics dedicated to mentoring the next generation. Together, they will discuss how creativity serves as a beacon of hope during times of uncertainty and unprecedented challenges.
The event will highlight:
● The RSA’s role in fostering creative communities.
● Artist-led responses to modern social and political challenges.
● The use of art to protect intellectual freedom and defy discrimination.
This event will be held online via Zoom platform and is dedicated to all who are interested in freedom of ideas and their personal expression. The event is free and open to Fellows and the RSA friends. The panel discussion will be followed by the Q&A.
