A solo show is a huge commitment; it consumes you, every day you're thinking about what direction you are going in, what you want to say and what's important to you. You finally complete the collection and there it is in 11 boxes, framed, labeled, and ready to deliver!
For the first time my work will be insured by Lloyds of London, what! Amazing. I am relatively pleased with what I have done; it is a new departure but still heavily influenced by my fascination with the impact and development of technology. There's some local interest too with the Hoover Dam and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) being huge sources of inspiration. I don't know about other artists but generally the last piece I do feels like the beginning of a new thought or process, I love that feeling, it means I'm 'locked in', inspired, I have the drive to create!
